Born in St Andrews, raised in Beirut, Gail studied psychology in Strasbourg before working in advertising and public relations in Dubai, Bahrain, Oklahoma, Paris and Cape Town. Married to an oil executive, as expatriates, they lived in over 10 countries where Gail learnt to speak French, Arabic and Italian. Returning to the UK she retrained as an executive coach helping senior corporate clients to become better leaders and team managers.
A late starter to photography, Gail made up for lost time by doing a post graduate course and gaining her Licentiate from the Royal Photographic Society (RPS). An avid street and documentary photographer, Gail always has her camera to hand. It’s the spontaneity and serendipity that appeals, looking for the unusual in the usual, capturing interesting people, juxtapositions and searching for amazing light.
